From October 7 to 11, 2012 the head of the department of conservation of the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, candidate of science (chemistry) Sarsenbayeva B.Sh. participated in the 2-nd International scientific-practical seminar named “The images of memory. The modern technologies for the preservation and revival of the manuscript and printed heritage” Erevan city (Armenia).

     She made the report “The ways of preservation and revival of the manuscript and printed heritage at the National library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The experience in the work of the service of conservation of the NLRK for the provision of the long-term preservation of documents”.
     The seminar was held in the Scientific-research institute of ancient manuscripts after Mesrop Mashtots “Matenadaran”. There in the activity participated representatives from Italy, Germany, Belgium, France, Poland, the countries of the CIS and the Baltic countries. The conservators, restorers, custodians, specialists of modern technologies, who work in the libraries, archives and museums shared their knowledge in the preservation of the manuscript heritage.
